Brent is a city district which lies in the Northwest of London and was first developed from the area of Greater London in 1965 with the union of Wembley and Willesden from the county of Middlesex. It received its name from the river which runs right through it. 

Tourism in Brent

Brent is blessed with excellent public transport, connecting it to the centre of London, reachable within 15min. Good public transport is guaranteed with the different underground stations and a good bus service, including a regular night bus. Furthermore a range of shopping possibilities are in the area, of which many are open 24 hours, and of course a post office, different Banks and lots of local shops and other businesses.

Wembley Stadium

This city district is famous for its local Wembley Stadium, which hosts huge amounts of people every year. One of the largest venues for concerts in London it is a UEFA category four stadium. The 90,000-capacity venue (105,000 combined seating and standing) is the second largest stadium in Europe, and serves as England's national stadium for Football and Rugby. It is the home venue of the England national Football team and will be the location of the Football finals during the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

Brent is a multicultural council and houses fascinating intercultural buildings, such as the Neasden Temple, one of the biggest Hindu temples outside of India.
On top of this there are many cultivated parks and tree-lined streets where you can spend your free time and go for some relaxing and refreshing strolls.
